We focus our ecological expertise to restorative practices for the landscape and people and offer decades of experience with wetland delineation and regulations and soil classifications.
With a degree in Plant and Soil Science from the University of Maine, Michael spent the bulk of his 40+ year professional career with and retired from the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, surveying soils all over the country and leading the development of the Hydric Soil Field Indicators.
Michael spends his free time restoring the land and improving soil health wherever he calls home, planting fruit and native landscape trees and shrubs while managing organic food and flower production with Bibi.
Bibi received her degree in Biology/Environmental Studies from Boston College and fell in love with wetlands while working for the Town of Lincoln Conservation Commission, just outside of Boston. She spent her 35+ career as a civil servant working in wetlands regulations at the local and state levels, before retiring from the Corps of Engineers after over 10 years with the St. Paul District as Senior Ecologist
(she was fka Barbara Walther).
In her free time since she was a child, Bibi followed the seamstress lessons of her Polish grandmother and mother, who made the bulk of their families' clothing. There's something about getting in the zone of a creative pursuit that just excites her soul.
